In September 2003 the Foundation endowed the establishment of the Center for American Jewish History at New York University. The Center's proposed main activities will be:
- Research and publish a series of books about the history and role of Jews in Ameican life and culture. - Organize conferences at regular intervals to bring together scholars around a specific topic to exchange ideas, increase knowledge and lay the groundwork for future books in the series. - Educate and train graduate students in Hebrew and Judaic Studies and American History, with the hope that they will become future scholars and authors in this field. |
